Crawler excavators have a wide range of uses and are often a vital part of any job site. From digging trenches and foundations to clearing out trees, moving earth, and performing demolition, a powerful excavator can tackle many different tasks that you throw at them. The Hyundai HX145LCR is among the lightest crawler excavators available from Hyundai, with an impressively small tail swing radius, making it perfect for use at smaller job sites or in crowded residential areas. It is still a very powerful machine, however, and it is available as the HX145LCR-D with a dozer blade attached to help with clearing even more areas. If this sounds like something you need, we at Quality Fleet Service can help.
Whether you need new equipment to get a job done, or you need repairs and service for your existing machinery, we are here to assist. At Quality Fleet Service, we only focus on working with commercial customers with powerful machinery that is vital to the success of your business. Our sales and support staff can assist you in finding new equipment to get the job done, and our factory-trained expert technicians can meet any repair and service needs you might have. Visit us at Quality Fleet Service today to see how we can help your business and keep your machinery running smoothly. But first, here is more about the Hyundai HX145LCR.
The Hyundai HX145LCR
There are a number of crawler excavators available from Hyundai, and the HX145LCR is among the lighter versions, with only two other models that have lower operating weights. That being said, this is still the perfect option for a wide range of worksites where its smaller size and tight tail swing radius make it the perfect fit. The standard HX145LCR is a great option for a lot of situations, and it is available in another configuration, the HX145LCR-D, which has a dozer blade on it for additional clearing potential.
The Hyundai HX145LCR is powered by a water-cooled 4-cycle I-4 diesel engine that is turbocharged for extra power and greater performance at your job site. This is on the lighter side for the Hyundai lineup of crawler excavators, with an operating weight of 33,420 lbs or 35,190 lbs with the optional dozer blade. The standard bucket on this model is 0.68 cu.yd. and it has a bucket range from 0.30 cu.yd. to 0.93 cu.yd., so keep that in mind when deciding which model is right for you. Due to its lighter and smaller overall design, it has a tail swing radius smaller than five feet, while still delivering outstanding performance.
This excavator has a swing speed of up to 11.5 rpm, so it can get a lot of work done pretty quickly, and a maximum digging depth of more than 19 feet. Be aware that it has an arm crowd force of more than 13,000 lb-ft and a bucket breakout force of more than 21,000 lb-ft. All told, this is an excellent crawler excavator if you are looking for something with a relatively low operating weight and a tight, concise tail swing radius.
Choosing the Right Equipment
Before tackling any kind of construction or forestry work, it is important to have the right equipment to get the job done. A crawler excavator like the Hyundai HX145LCR is ideal for digging trenches, holes, and foundations at a construction site. This type of machinery is also a great choice for forestry service or heavy landscaping where you need to be able to clear out trees and large bushes quickly and effectively. Due to the small tail swing radius of this model, it is a good choice for areas with relatively tight quarters, where a larger model would be a problem, and for construction sites with a lot of people and other machinery.
One thing to keep in mind is that a crawler excavator like this should only be used in areas that are not paved, such as gravel pits, early construction sites, and forests or yards. The treads on this type of machinery can seriously damage paved roads, sidewalks, and parking lots, so you do not want to use this sort of equipment at such a location. For paved areas, a wheeled excavator is a better choice, and Hyundai offers a number of wheeled excavator models if that would be the right option for you. The treads and stance of crawler excavators make them quite stable on uneven terrain, which is why they are so popular for forestry work.
But if you are not sure which type of equipment is right for you, let us at Quality Fleet Service help you figure it out. We have a large test pit here at our 15,000 sq.ft. facility that allows you to see different types of machinery used in a real-world environment. One of our specialists can work directly with you to determine the type of equipment and size that will meet your needs without going overboard or leaving you wishing you had more power.
The World-Class Hyundai Warranty Coverage
Offering the best equipment is not always enough, which is why Hyundai offers some of the best warranty coverage in the industry, giving you peace of mind and confidence in your heavy machinery. You can tell just how much a manufacturer believes in their equipment based on how well they support it and stand behind it, and Hyundai does not disappoint.
The Hyundai HX145LCR is covered by:
- 3-year or 3,000-hour full machine warranty
- 5-year or 10,000-hour structural warranty
If you want to extend this full machine warranty further, then Hyundai offers an extended protection plan with up to 5 years or 10,000 hours of full machine coverage. Best of all, this extended warranty is available at any time while your equipment is still covered by the original warranty protection. So you can decide to add to your warranty coverage well after you purchase your machinery.
