The Bell Trucks B20E

In the lineup of available Bell E Series trucks, the Bell Trucks B20E is the starting point and the lightest option you can choose. That makes it a great pick if you know you need the power and maneuverability of an ADT, but you also do not need something like a 30-ton or 50-ton beast. The Bell Trucks B20E is powered by a Mercedes-Benz 5.1L engine that delivers up to 228 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque for excellent overall power, paired with an Allison model 3000 series transmission that ensures a smooth experience for the operator. Since this is the lightest option in the Bell E Series, it has a turning circle of just over 12 feet, making it a great choice for use at a crowded worksite.

That does not mean the Bell Trucks B20E is light on power, however, as it still has a rated payload of up to nearly 40,000 lbs. The bin on the Bell Trucks B20E has a struck capacity of up to 11.8 cu.yd. with an SAE 2:1 capacity of 14.4 cu.yd. and a 1:1 capacity of 17.7 cu.yd. Since this is the lightest model in the Bell E Series, it is also one of the quickest to empty thanks to a lowering time of just 5.5 seconds, a raise time of 10 seconds, and a tipping angle of 70-degrees standard, though you can program that to a lower angle if you prefer.

The Bell E Series of Trucks

Although the Bell Trucks B20E is the lightest in the Bell E Series lineup, it still enjoys all of the impressive features and incredible technology that the Series has to offer. This includes an automatic limited slip differential and a rear suspension designed to keep the wheels on the ground while making the truck easy to drive for your operator. It also has a speed control system you can use to set speed limits on-site, as well as a tip safe function that prevents raising the rear bin if it has exceeded a pre-set rear chassis roll limit.

An on-board weighing system provides you and the operator of the truck with payload information to ensure excessive weight is not loaded into the truck. The Bell Trucks B20E also features a hill assist system and automatic park brake to help prevent any uncontrolled movement when parked or operating on a slope. This model, like most of the E Series, is a six-wheeled ADT with permanent six-wheel drive to ensure the best control and operator efficiency possible.

As part of the E Series, the Bell Trucks B20E also features the innovative Fleetm@tic system that relays data from the truck itself to you and your site manager. This means you can use your phone, tablet, or computer to look at information about how your truck is performing and consider ways to boost efficiency or optimize truck use. It will also send you error codes if some kind of issue arises, and can even relay data about operator error or machine abuse that might occur on the worksite. All of this helps ensure you are connected to what is going on, even if you are not currently at your job site, and it can store up to 72-hours of information so you can check back on what has been happening.
